Evolutionary Biology in the 21st Century
– Tracing Patterns of Evolution through the Tree of Life
June 3－7，2007, Beijing

The symposium aims to bring together a group of international and domestic evolutionary biologists to discuss the theoretical and practical problems on reconstructing the Tree of Life (ToL). As you may be aware, ToL research has been pursued by the international evolutionary biology community for several years, and it has generated a new momentum for systematics and evolutionary biology in the new century. We would like to take this opportunity to evaluate the current state of ToL research and to identify key areas for future breakthroughs.
